Looking back at 2016 I feel so blessed and fortunate that we got to do so much Kirtan in the community this year.
Finally in June we started a regular monthly Kirtan night that had been a dream of mine for many years. So many blessings came with it: finding a great location for those Kirtans at the Pascha centre; having our dear friend K. Murari from the U.S. join our little group of KirtanWave musicians and being inspired by his enthusiasm for Kirtan; Chris and KD joined us as additional Mrdanga (Indian drum) players; Kingsley with his many abilities to make ends meet and who will hopefully share his australian campfire Kirtan tunes with us in 2017; Dipen, who has been always offering his doorkeeper services; Lila, who has been steadily playing the hand cymbals (kartalas) and who has been printing all the flyers for the events; my husband Prema, without whom I would have lost my nerves already a long time ago and who keeps things steady and happening; and of course there are all of you guys, who come to the events to make the experience special by putting your heart and soul into the Kirtan practice! Thank you! We are so much looking forward to the Kirtans of 2017! By adding Kirtan to our lives, the chanting of very sacred mantras, the year 2017 will become special! Oh yeah, can't wait!
